Enjoy some of the most popular classical music, musical theatre and pop in a stunning outdoor setting amongst the serene lake and ancient trees of Chetwynd Deer Park.

Bring the children, parents and grandparents for a relaxed afternoon and evening filled with beautiful music reminiscent of a night at the Proms. A festival of music, food and fizz, featuring some of the best talent across the country, supported by local acts culminating with a Last Night of the Proms style finale.

Lay out a picnic blanket, or set the scene with table, chairs, candelabra and union jack bunting. Settle in for an afternoon of inspiring music, fabulous food and fizz, all in stunning parkland which becomes magical at nightfall. With music from Beyoncé to Beethoven and Elvis to Elgar, we really do have something for everyone!

Bring your own picnic hamper and drinks or buy delicious hot food from our local suppliers and street food vendors. With bars, hot drinks and lots of food options there is something for everyone.

Children under 10 come free and we have activities lined up to keep them entertained, as well as plenty of space for them to stretch their legs in!

Headlining this year this year is west end musical star, Jon Moses with a repertoire including favourites from the musicals, as well as well-known pop songs, before leading the Last Night of the Proms style finale. From performing the lead role in Jesus Christ Superstar to hitting number five in the album charts, Jon has built a career as one of the UK’s leading baritones. On reaching the finals of the Jesus Christ Superstar search on ITV, Jon impressed Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber with his huge voice, which Lord Lloyd Webber described as ‘exceptional!’

Also joining the line-up is Classical Reflection, consisting of identical “mirror” twins Naomi and Hannah Moxon. They shot to fame in The Voice in 2016 and have since gone on to headline at the Royal Albert Hall, receive a classical Brit Award nomination and reach number 3 in the Official Classical Charts. Their stunning harmonies and beautiful voices will delight both young and old!

Adding a modern twist to this year’s event is Grazia Strings – a unique acoustic and electric string quartet who have performed with the likes of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Olly Murs. They will be entertaining the crowds with a repertoire which includes everything from Led Zepplin to Vivaldi!

This year’s line up also includes a highly acclaimed saxophone and piano duo. Sensational saxophonist Dominic Childs will be joined on stage by pianist Simon Callaghan. Dominic has toured, recorded and performed nationally and internationally including for BBC Radio 3 and at the Royal Albert Hall’s Last Night of the Proms. Simon has toured extensively around the world from Canada to Malaysia and together with Dominic he will light up the Chetwynd Deer Park stage.

The Blackwell Concert Band will be performing a varied programme including favourites from the movies and all the Last Night of the Proms favourites. Shropshire’s Darby Singers will be entertaining all ages with their foot tapping versions of pop, musical theatre and much more. Opening the event this year is Shropshire’s very own swingtastic foursome – The Ronnies! With a nostalgic hint of 40’s swing and some wartime favourites, The Ronnies will be evoking the true British spirit!  !

Feedback from Proms & Prosecco in the Park 2017 and 2018

“Just wanted to congratulate you and thank you for such a great evening at Chetwynd Deer Park on Saturday. A good time was had by all!”

“We look forward to next year, but will try harder with our picnic, compared with others ours was very lack lustre!”

It was a great event, lovely atmosphere, great mix of vendors and thoroughly enjoyed.”

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Thank you!

“It was brilliant, lots of young children with families, all ages sharing the experience. In a spectacular setting surrounded by ancient woodlands and lake. A swathe of red white and blue flags, folding tables and chairs, food, candelabras, lanterns and fairy lights, some people wearing bow ties and suits or flowing dresses most like us in wellies and ponchos. An arena of happy smiling faces, the finale a joyous crescendo. Well done Fizz!
